Stop the world … I want to get off

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you … the single serving banana.

What? You thought bananas already came in single-serve packages? Oh, how naive …

This is just wrong on so many levels … not the least of which is that a whole bunch of folks with chemical engineering degrees, marketing degrees, MBAs, or the letters “VP” on their door all had to green-light the idea.

  1. I hardly buy bananas. What a shame to have them wrapped! The food industry gets crazier every day.

  2. OH COME ON. The banana IS it’s own packaging. Mother Nature got it right the first time, guys.

  3. That is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

Hopefully, this misguided idea at least kept some people gainfully employed. Have a great day. Blessings…Mary

  5. How funny! On one hand people are recycling so as not to waste and on the other big business is creating more waste. Love the dehydrated water idea, you should submit it to a big mega-corporate board somewhere.

Couldn’t they at least cut up the banana and dipped in in chocolate first? Now that would be worthy of its own bag- plastic even.

Bromelain is that chemical, an enzyme actually that breaks down the protein found in gelatin. Hense no adding it to Jell-O. We do this in science class and it always amazes the kids, then we use canned pineapple without any problem- the heat in canning kills the bromelain. I think the kiddos like this lab because they get to eat Jell-O, they are so easy to please. Funny thing in lab yesterday…

In Space Science class we made gliders (sciencetoymaker.org- origami gliders- very cool) out of phone book pages. All was going along nicely until one student looked at his glider and ask, “what’s an Escort Service?” Oh boy.

    Have a great day!
    Robin

Ridiculous! One more piece of plastic for the landfill.

  8. Dear God, this sort of thing drives me crazy!

This pisses me off about as much as the heart-shaped chicken nuggets they serve in the school cafeteria on Valentines Day.
