Monday’s News You Can Use

Something old, something new, all of it borrowed …

Something old: Over at NPR, they’re re-running the Fresh Air interview with Patton Oswalt and Brad Bird, the voice and writer behind Ratatouille.

Something new: Loved this story about award-winning winemaker Ntsiki Biyela, who had never even heard of wine until she accidentally won a viticulture and oenology scholarship. Money-quote about wine: “Wine is never the same today as it is tomorrow. It even depends on where you drink it and who you are with and what mood you are in. It’s a very, very nice thing.”

Aspen Ideas Conference food highlights.

And in lighter news: A candy company will make a gummi-bear like image of your face. Because … well, because it’s exactly what the world needs right now.

Wow, a gummy candy image of my face? I don’t know if I’d want to eat that, lol.
